@FLYCOUGAR,
Clear your PPL exams and Indian Class 1 medical before you start your training.
Complete your training and get your PPL along with all DGCA requirements of Skill test, Cross country flight and Documentation (Refer Schedule II and Conversion flow chart on DGCA website).
Come back and submit the documents. No one can stop your Indian PPL.
Flying training, like courer business, has its express line. But if you want to learn, and you sound like you want to, then go with a pace where you are comfortable in understanding and practicing the exercises. You will never regret it.
All the Best.

@Flycougar...why would you want to do a PPL/CPL right now with 3000++ pilots and no openings? I am assuming you have the connections and the extra money.
If you are just hobby flier then it's fine! Otherwise I feel I should warn you of the situation, do a lot more research on the job situation, seriously.

FlightSafety
Hi
I got my CPL from FlightSafety Academy
None of the aircrafts there are registered in India. Not even the Piper Seminole
I REPEAT, PIPER SEMINOLE, PA44 IS NOT REGISTERED IN INDIA.
I am having a lot of issues with my conversion because of it.

I am also looking to fly in the USA and would like to which academy has the aircrafts that are registered in India. I saw Sunrise Aviation and was wondering if that's a good option.
