I just got told I have bile sludge in India and my contract is about to expire. I have an oppertunity in China and am planning to have surgery gallbladder removal. any idea how long between the surgery till I can do the China medical? it was 60 days in India.

I noticed the glasses comment. I have 20/25 vis will they allow glasses for a type rated FAA ATPL?

If you have correct glasses that can help you pass the exam, it will be ok.

Sorry to interrupt the conversation but I am looking for info. Anybody who has experience as an Expat Pilot in China. What are your experiences, the good and the bad ones. Lot`s of Job opportunities in China nowadays, I am very interested but would like to know how to overcome the Cultural differences etc.....

They do a urine drug test equivalent to the nida 7. They do have cholesterol limits. Mine was slightly over the limit but I passed anyway. Maybe because my ratio was good.
