Post Looking for jobs in india.

I am flying an aircraft delivery to Ahmedabad in India.
I am due to arrive anywhere between 18th and the 25th of Sep at this stage. Once I arrive there I have organised some time off.

What advise can you all give me regarding…..
1. Where to stay in Ahmedabad that isn’t to $$$$ but is pretty good?
2. What other cities / Airlines should I visit to try to find an airline job?
3. Any contact names, numbers or emails of expat pilots / chief pilots / recruitment people?

Basically anything would help. I have never been to India before.

If you could post PM or email I would be extremely greatful.

Thanks in advance

Coming from Australia, the first thing that will hit you upon arrival at Ahmedabad is that this is a "dry" state. Officially, grog is frowned upon, as it might besmirch the memory of M.G., who has been hi-jacked by Ahmedabad as its very own son. Don't despair, after a few days you will have figured out that this is solely a racket for the same politicians who advocate the ban on alcohol so they can make mega bucks selling it through the back door

Welcome to India.

Left Wing:

I am not trying to discourage anyone from coming to India, just attempting to make sure they've got the right picture.

When I came to India for the first time in 1979, it was to Ahmedabad - I would have been happy to have been forewarned then
