This thread has been started to provide information about vacancies in various airlines or corporates or flight schools in India who are likely to hire or have started their hiring process. This way it would make it easier to share the information making sure every one gets their fair chance of luck in trying to make it to the skies.

great post brother.. a much needed one i had cried my lungs hoarse for such information but only to be advised "go look around instead of expecting 777 right seat" im not expecting a 777 right seat we guys (unemployed bunch) know the reality but just some heads up info does no harm right... so far its been onli speculations.. rumor mills working full time only to first raise and then dash our hopes.. some of these selection process's have been so hush hush namely (deccan)
those with some info please come forward with your inputs
i was told last month that indian airlines would recruit in july august 09' but have heard or read nothing on that front so far this month
people pls keep the thread rolling .. due to lack of a decent forum on indian aviation after 'indianpilots.com's" demise R.I.P pprune comes as a good info hub..
the blog indian avition news .net has some info updated daily but its generally used more for advertisement of upcoming flying clubs or cabin crew production factories

one question..considering that ai is recruiting 737 endorsed pilots..is it a correct to get a rating on our own..and then apply..or maybe then they will come up with some other conditions :E

no one is hiring male cabin crew guys... nacil had an ad listed 2008 so that is not recent though indigo is presently hiring girls for female cabin fresher and senior positions check the website or times of india ASCENT

i heard from someone that ic is comin with an ad of 100+ seats by june end or july starting..but i guess due to the current situation..its been delayed

Spice has hired about 40 odd guys and gals but a significant majority of them are cadets. Recruitment concedes that hiring was done excessively... so training these guys has come to a crawl. After an initial spurt in FO training, majority of training resources being diverted to line flying (due line training and shortage of P1s) and upgrade training.

Lots of upgrades coming up in the next few months, so keep your eyes and ears open for Spice (if they exhaust their cadet pool).

i guess there is some back door entry going on for paramount and mdlr..
both are asking for self sponsored rating(25 lakhs) plus 5-6 lakhs at least for the pimps...

I've heard that the money required to be paid up front in Paramount (to the "pimps") is closer to 20 lakhs. Rumours of course. :ooh:

whats the point in giving 20 lakh to pimps +25 lakh to company ...better to put this amount in a bank and live on its interest...lol

also heard from a source that ai has again considered the people who passed the open exam..even though it was supposed to be scrapped...and that they might come up with an ad soon..any updates on its front?

So wheres the massive growth?!? I knew it was just a big hype to put India on the aviation map. Now plane orders are being cancelled, crews laid off. It was just a matter of time. Too bad however cause now I have to listen to the Indian students on the radio with their broken English flying circuits the wrong way, and calling themselves Captains when they dont even have a PPL and wear wore bares on their shirts. Pathetic.

Did you want us to drop the word "glorified" from the name, and just look up the synonym for "Donkey", and the meaning of it?
