IR Requirement for Type Rating (DGCA)

Hey guys,

My understanding is that the IR and CPL are both renewed after a Type Rating but I have heard of instances where the DGCA creates problems if the IR isn't current.

Just wondering if someone has recently got the Type Rating endorsed without a current IR.

Thanks !

Before going for type rating you'll be taking an NOC from DGCA. Mention at that time itself your IR is current. Considering they would be issuing your NOC with a lpsed IR then it shouldnt be a problem.
