HKCAD and Credentialed Optometrists

Hi guys, done a search but couldn't turn anything up on this.

I have been asked by CX to provide a further eye assessment as part of the recruitment process as I had laser surgery on the eyes years ago. It asks for this to be conducted by an ophthalmologist.

In Australia we have Credentialed Optometrists that are authorised to conduct all eye assessments for flight crew licensing requirements and I have indeed seen one of these due to the DAO having a 6 week waiting list.

Its been rejected by CX as it was not a DAO and I am wondering is it a case that CX don't recognise CO's or is it HKCAD?

HAs anybody had a similar situation or is there a way to get around this other than a 6 week wait and more cash on another eye assessment?

Cheers!
