rtr(p) renewal
Hey guys i have an rtr(p) based on my canadian cpl and rt! As far as i know canadian rt is valid for life time, but my canadian cpl expires on dec 2016( thats what my blue aviation booklet says), hence even my rtr(p) expires in dec 2016! In that case is there any way to renew my canadian cpl and henceforth my rtr(p) without giving any of the exams in india! I have 23 hrs in the past 1 yr and also have an indian cpl and frtol!
Also can you guys recommend some good coaching classes in mumbai apart from mk singh, books also would be of great use!

RTR (P)
Lets help u buddy . Follow the following steps if u wish to avoid rtr exam.
1. Renew your canadian booklet wic can be done free of cost jst by renewing your class-1 canadian medical and than fill booklet renewal form and send it to canada . They will send you new booklet with 5 yr validity
2. Submit new booklet + 25hrs of flying exp wic you said you have in past 1yr + copy of rtr + fee ( chek that on site )
3. You can submit this 3 months before your expiry of rtr
4. You dont need indian cpl or medical for renewal of rtr

There are 2 methods to renew the RTR P
1) Renewal of an existing RTR P
In this method you need a valid Canadian CPL and 30 hours of flying experience within the last 5 years
If you dont have to 30 hours within the last 5 years you need to pass Part 1
2) Apply for a fresh RTR P
After renewing the Canadian CPL use it to apply for a fresh RTR P license ( instead of renewing the existing RTR P ) which will be again valid for another 5 years
The following methods in my opinion are the best
3) Another option would be to use the Canadian RTR and apply and pass Part 1
Then apply for an RTR C . This RTR C will be valid for 20 years
4) Give both Part 1 and Part 2 and obtain an RTR A with lifetime validity
Like Sumit mentioned earlier the Indian CPL and FRTOL have no bearing with respect to issue / renewal of the RTR license

RTR A Exam Delhi 2015
Just been through delhi exam.....well had prepared a lot but flunked it, wanted to know the questions and pattern of previous exam but limited info available on net ....so decided to atleast write my bit
CS VTANP, FL 130,ROUTE- JJP TO NNP VIA BPL, FLIGHT RULES VFR,
NOTAM: AOM 500 M (Did not get what it was, so concluded Aerodrome obstacle Minima)
Press Clock: Wasted 7 minutes for the calculations (although in practice tests was completing in 4-5 MIns) could be the exam self build pressure.
Q1 a. You have started and you hear VIDP app induction on your channel take appropriate actions.
Q1 b U r Taxing and see vultures on the runway shoulders take action and inform atc about your concern.
Q1 c u are on ILS OM Outbound and your GS goes U/S.(the paper Forgot to mention which ILS so had to assume )
(In hindsight the questions were easy but wasted a lot of time in Q1 time check 15 Min) Now im running against the clock.
Q2 S/c 02:30 Fl 70 to FL90 cordinate with ATC. (S/C is not a standard terminology so after wasting about a minute i confirmed from the examiner he said "guess karo kya ho sakta hai???" (btw it is setting course... in which book??? wel it was in his so examiner is always right and BTW not a pilot ot ATC guy.....Time check after question 20 min )
Q3 You are FL 130 experience CAT ask for a climb from appropriate ATC?
Once i made the call a situation was given that another airline IC 431 at same level eta 5 Min ...\ end of question time 24 min
Q4 was probably for descend clearance or change of route cant remember ...time 25 min( Did not attempt)
Q5 WAS abbreviations in (Did not attempt).

Hello Aviators,
I recently renewed my CANADIAN CPL, My RTR P is expiring on 1st feb 2017, I dont have 30 hours in last 3 years.
From the previous posts i got to know that i have to apply for a fresh RTR P ,
Please can anyone tell me what documents i need to submit for fresh RTR P.
One more thing, My new Canadian CPL has validity of 10 years, is there an option on the RTR application form for 10 years validity
