CPL & RTR (A) Renewal - India
Hi All,
Can you please help me with below information:
My Indian CPL got lapsed in August 2014 and RTR in Feb 2013 and I am finding it difficult to understand the procedure of renewing these licences. I understand that I need to renew my RTR first and then CPL. For RTR, I have got 30 hrs of flying in past 6 yrs.
Please advise how can I get these licences renewed. Thanks.

I have seen the WPC accept 30 hours of flying upto 5 years
I doubt they will accept beyond 5 years
Otherwise you need to pass Part 1 again . Once you pass it you can apply for a lifetime validity license
RTR A licenses can only be renewed from the office that initially issued them
Once you renew the RTR go and renew the FRTOL ( I am assuming its expired ) on the basis of a new RTR and valid Class 1 medical
As for renewing the CPL all you need to do is a FAM flight followed by GFT by day and GFT by night ON ANY aircraft endorsed on your DGCA CPL
Please make sure you have the ELP test done prior to any flying

Hi,
Thank you for the information. Much appreciated.
Regarding RTR renewal, I checked on their website (wpc.gov.in > Apply online > checklist) and it doesn't state any timeline for 30 hrs. Info is as below:
5. Renewal of RTR (A)
a) Application Form – COP23, Annexure 1-A
b) Attested copy of certified log book as experience of 30 hrs of flying in an Aero Mobile station or an experience of not less than three months in a station working in the Aero-Mobile service or renewal by test as per order in force.
c) Demand Draft of rupees Five Thousand (5000) for 20 years and Ten Thousand (10000) for life time, late fee 2% per month minimum Rs 25. Payable to concerned CCA of RLO from where initial License was issued.
d) Attested copy of Date of Birth certificate (DOB)
e) Copy of RTR(A) licence along with renewal slip
So, should I just send in the documents ?

Give it shot . Send your papers at the earliest and see if they reply to it
If it works well and good . Otherwise you will need to give Part 1 again
Register for Part 1 exam attempt in Delhi . The application window is now open
Incase they ask you to give part 1 again you might miss the delhi attempt and wait till the June Chennai attempt....
