Thumbs up Yes its true.

Yes,its correct that another group of 8 left on 2/3 Aug. They have made batches of 24. In April 8 went, then in may 2 more groups of 8 were sent,so 24 in all,i.e Batch 1 was completed.

This group of 8 which left recently is part of Batch 2 (again 24 people),first 8 from them is sent.

No one was sent in June & July.first two groups(sent in april & may) of 8+8 have come back,3 group of 8 people is about to come back in a weeks time.

Company had applied for their AEP,but BCAS denied it saying,AEP is for employees only & until they don't join & sign a contract with company,AEP cant be issued,as they were sent for training on a Training Contract & not as a company employee!!

So ideally company should have made them sign a contract & asked them to join, after BCAS"s denial, but nothing of this sort happened & company till now have not send any mails to ask them to come for a joining.

Yes there was some issue in training as it was first group of 8 people which went for their training abroad after a long time via company & it was a completely new TRTO,so they were not familiar with CAR & sessions, its not a major issue & first group of 8 people will be going again in this month for a fortnight max to do those sessions & things will fall in place again.

Cheers.

Angel Hi

jetbatch1: Are you done with your tr? What is going on these days for you ppl in Jet? I heard that Jet was to reach over a conclusion on 11 aug for putting ppl on contract for aep. I am not sure whether they have a solution.

Also, how are TFO managing the finances after paying 20 lacs and not getting a penny for 3-4 months (or may be more)?

The airline should be thoughtful for them. No body can sit idle with a burden of 20 lacs and not earning a penny.

Rs.2500 per candidate and there are around 5000(assuming).it makes Rs.12500000 in jet's account.

the cost that jet bears must be around 6-7 lakhs (including school, stationary, pilots for interviews etc)...rest is all profit.

I am not saying Jet is doing it for money.there is no other airline in the country which conducts a fairer and sensible exam(giving a fair chance to everyone n asking Rs2500 only, where they can go for 10 times higher price). thr is demand and thy need pilots as Gloria said when spoke with her recently.

but we cant be hopeful tht Jet will expediate the process cause thy r hiring. even if all leave n go to other airlines, Jet is not losing n is only in profits is the point.

TFO 2014

hi all !!
its a great opportunity yet again......good luck to all.
But I think its an effort from Jet to induct the kins and close relatives of pilots.......
possibly they will induct the type rated and will give them priority against 2011 & 2013 batch as they have done before.....which is really really bad on their part.......and I have observed that only few who got themselves type rated even after passing the Jet exam indicated that something they were aware of which others wont..........secret info and possibly they all got selected too........But again for normal janta its a risk to opt for TR even after clearing the exam as now balance has turned in favour of A-320 after entrance of Vestra & Air Asia......
All the Best to all appearing now....

Hi aviator,
Tht quiet depends , whether you are type rated or not, if you r not , they will ask you questions based on the aircraft you have flown, the idea is simple you should be thorough with the manuals for the aircraft you hav flown, plus being non type rated they would still like you to hav some idea of jet engines,
If you are type rated, they gonna for sure ask questions on the rated aircraft,

The good thing about jet is the recruiting panel consist of well polished personnel (pilots) who have vast knowledge of recruiting pilots, I think they are going to b logical, to what needs to b asked to whom. Hope tht helps

All the best

Jet GD

@HelpingGuyThere are 5 rounds in the group discussion. 2 of them are conducted by members of HR. 3 are aviation related. I remember one of the topics was a scenario where you HAD to fly through an area of bad weather and turbulance. and we have to as a group prioritize and list our actions. So we came up with a list like 1. reduce acft speed to turbulence penetration speed. 2 cockpit lights to full bright 3 alert the cabin crew. 4. find alternative routing to avoid the dense areas of thunderstorm. etc hope this helps and goodluck

When do we expect the results captains?

I am assuming about 7000 candidates appeared for the exams. How many do we expect to go on to the next round?

Kolkata, Bangalore?
Surely 2000 in Mumbai

Anyways, what I would like to know is how many go on to round two? Pass percentage of sorts.

Around 1386 roll numbers were issued for Mumbai
Around 1400 for Delhi
About 511 for Chennai

Candidates who applied for Bangalore were sent to Chennai ( this has been the case for the last 3 exams )

Kolkota was not an option

In every classroom a small number of candidates were absent

From what I heard candidates who passed last year's exam and cleared all the rounds also decided to come for the exam as well just for the sake of it ( and meeting old buddies )
