It is assumed you have a permanent ID when you apply as it is part of the minimum requirements... and with HK immigration, I believe this is not a "we can make an exception" part of the requirements.

I understand, but would anyone know if having a "RO Status" be a problem? As technically having an RO Status allows you to work & live in hk freely...?

Unhappy sad feeling

Hey guys, i had my initial test on 27th August, 2014 in HK. They said they will call the successful candidates within 4 weeks, although it has not been 4 weeks, i logged on to the dragonair website using my user ID and the pin. There is something like "We are unable to accept your application within a 12 month period of your previous application. If you wish to re-apply for the Cadet Pilot Programme, please do so at the appropriate time." written. I have a feeling my application has been rejected. Anyone can help me around

I'm sorry to hear that. Don't give up. You could apply CX or re-apply after 12 months time. Mind sharing what has gone wrong in your IT? Am asking cause I will taking my IT on Sept 18. Thanks

Recruitment process enquiry

Hi guys, I just got an email from KA inviting me for the Initial Exam this coming Sept. 23rd. This is my first time taking the process. So I'm really nervous yet excited at the same time. I was hoping if anyone have any words of wisdom or tips mainly. Much appreciation for any help in this matter.

RE: Recruitment process enquiry

1. English Grammar Test: questions with choices to choose. HKCEE level. A good portion of it is by common sense, and some of them are more advanced tenses, e.g. present perfect continuous.

2. English listening Test: Standard British accent. Quick, not much time to think.

3. KA in-house listening: Very HARD. Cannot read questions before. Just concentrate and pay attention to specific names.

4. Maths test: Time is very limited. don't spend too much time on a single question. Basic maths operation, but be quick.

It is based on my own experience, contributing a bit to this forum as many of you are very helpful. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the tips. I've been pretty skeptical for the past weeks. Figuring out what and how is it actually done. I can't wait for tomorrow. Thank you very much!

Just applied and wondering what everyone else who has an IA scheduled has been studying. I've gone through the CX questions as a guide since I heard they're similar but any additional hints are appreciated!

don't have to worry too much about IT and AT actually, they try not to fail too many people in these early stages, the interviews and group exercises are the stages which really gonna kill some people. And from my own experience, the tests carried out in KA are much more demanding than those by CX.

Unhappy How long for KA notification for next round

I have just complete the initial test on 30 Sept, it normally takes how long for KA to notify the successful applicant?

Btw, the time allowed for the maths test is really damn tight...

Does anyone know for the Aptitude test the flight director with the shapes and numbers together. Do the numbers go 4-0-0 and then they give you a number for example 4-0-0 , 5(meaning 5 is added or subtracted) or does it just go 4-0-0 then 4-0-5, 4-1-0 and so on.

Thanks!
