Its a govt vacancy Reservation will be there so you are fighting for 50% only
Its a competitive exam so your best needs to better than every chap around you
Any UPSC general studies paper is a very good example of Paper II,
As far as Paper I goes ...it's bread and butter you better have it in your blood.

Paper 1 was nice. Very basic and CPL level question. Some of the questions I can recall
2 numerical on TE and CA
2 numerical on height calculation, with glide slope given
1 subjective numerical on scale calculation
1 subjective numerical on GC calculation and TIME
Transonic jump is related to which instrument : VSI, ASI, Machmeter
In ground effect the ASI and altimeter over reads: True/ False
The jet streams are more pronounced in summer over : north india, south india
The western disturbance causes the temp. rise. True/ false
With static blocked, the ASI during desend will : under read, over read, no change, ...
In DGI the rotor axis is : horizontal, vertical, ... , ...
In AH the gyro rotates in which plane : horizontal. vertical, ..., ....
G.K. was nightmare, i could hardly answer any of that, English was also not "General" english for me atleast, specially the synonyms and antonyms part, IQ was easy with basic aptitude questions.
1. qualifying age to be a member of loksabha
25, 35, 18, 21
2. nanny is realted to what
Goat, sheep, camel
3. some tulsidas question
Shahjahan, akbar, humayun, sher sha suri
