The last date for applications from the TR pilots on the 737 is over long back, i believe they will only be calling those who applied then, according to the advertisement you should have the 737 endorsement on your license on the date of application. I don't think they will issue any LOI's. The recruitment will most probably start end of this month.
Hey Grapewine, are you positive about the Selection Process will begin by the end of this month or will they be sending call letters by end of this month?

Air India ( erstwhile Indian Airlines ) will be coming out with an ad for 320 rated pilots in the last week of January or first week of Feb. Number of vacancy expected is 100 ,divided in the ratio of
20 % as SC, 2% as ST, 27 % as OBC & remaining 51 % as general
Bhai log AI is full of surprises.. and i will be surprised if they will come up like that requirement of 100 pilots.. but atleast there is even least hopes that they come up like such before march-April....

almost a year is going to pass by in march and there is no news abt AI Express for the recruitment(General Category) and now they are going to take out vacancies for 320 type rated......hope they recruit as fast as possible so that all the guys who are waiting get thrugh a job and start their life.. Anybdy has any news abt AI Express that when r they going to conduct the exam for general category...hope they have not cancelled the recruitment..?
thtz the only problem brother... when they had delayed 737 like this how they gonna come with 320 ones... and as we all know there is seriously something going on in Air India... n especially few changes in salary n all which is again creating environment of chaos in top officials... So at this stage do they gonna think abt recruitments or some pressurizations of other top officials and ministry ppls... Yes they wont let these royalties go easily ...
Anyways if they gonna come with A320 ppls then they would be filling up 737 ppls before april or so... or possibly new combined advertisement with updated vacanccies, as the more ppls the AI employees would want atleast to make their kids in the airlines... So hope for the both and still as i said they will take time of atleast feb and max till april they would be here for 737 n A320 both...
