Group exercises : work in a group to acheive the goal(eg. decide a flight), it takes 1hr
flight planning : calculation with your partner
panel interview : tech stuff
medical exam : nothing to worry about
icao : again, nothing to worry for a guy from english country (well u're in canada, i assume u are one of them!)

At the risk of brewing up a storm, what are the chances of Cathay introducing an MPL scheme like Dragonair?
I notice there was talk of it two years ago but has it gone away?
WATS 2011: Cathay floats cruise co-pilot MPL

Cathy Pacific Airways is trying to build support for a "cruise co-pilot" multi-crew pilot license (MPL) under ICAO rules as another solution to meeting pilot demand.

Its flight grading after the Medical after you pass the ICAO English test which I presume is part of Stage 2 Day 2.
Anyone going to Stage 2 in April next month? Is it true CX already have a place in the programme for you if you make it to Stage 2 providing you meet their standards?

Indefinitely ?
Wongsuzie,
Indefinitely is a long time. If CX were to only take ID card holders from now on they would start to have crewing problems within 12 months. They are pretty well off for SOs ATM but that will surely change in the near future.
As was mentioned on Threads earlier, the 200 hour non ID card holder cadets from 09 and 10 will be on FO courses soon if not already. Lets see how many make it through.
They can't go back to the old requirements cause of the not so good package now being offered but I would say that the mins will increase for the AE entry. Maybe 1000 TT? They would still get swamped with apps regardless. That's my prediction. AE will be back but with higher mins and possibly some sort of commercial experience.

Just to clarify, a large portion of the AE Cadets from the first few groups had between 400 and 800 hrs of flight experience. The min Requirements for AE up until more recent times (2011 or 2012) was 250hrs and a CPL, but most had more experience than that.

Toby, if you really want to become an airline pilot for Cathay Pacific you need to take your time. Get some coffee and read this thread, from page 1 to 100. Because after page 100 there is nothing but bull**** over here..
But here is the information you want:
A330-300: Rolls Royce Trent 700 (70,000lbs) x 2
A340-300: CFM56 (34,000lbs) x 4
B777-200: Rolls Royce Trent 800 (77,000lbs) x 2
B777-300: Rolls Royce Trent 800 (95,000lbs) x 2*
B777-300ER: GE90-115B (115,000lbs) x 2
B747-400: Rolls Royce RB211-524G/H-T (60,600lbs) or PW4000 (63,000lbs) x 4
B747-400BCF: Rolls Royce RB211-524G/H-T (60,600lbs) x 4
B747-400ERF: PW4000 (63,000lbs) x 4
B747-400F: Rolls Royce RB211-524G/H-T (60,600lbs) x 4
