only advise that most people here would give you would be
Be honest, be yourself and listen to instructions. : )
Your one step nearer! and you will get the result for this interview the very fast, if im not wrong. Usually its the wait after the aero medical that drives people crazy.
I am just done with my medical last week and I was called in again to redo my blood test due to high cholesterol level. I am a bit worried. Any one encounter the same problem before.
Do you know who called you back for a re-test? SIA or CAAS medical board?
If it's the latter, then there might be a little problem because if you can't clear CAAS medical, chances of clearing SIA screening might be difficult.
But not to worry.. It's not the end till you recieve a rejection. All the best
Don't worry you probably ate something fatty before the test elevating our cholesterol levels. I had that once when I did a blood test due to a rash and I had elevated levels due to eating long john silvers before I went in there.
The second test is to find out whether u really have elevated levels or is it a once off due to your diet. If you really have high cholesterol then there's nothing you can do about it so stop worrying
If you fail to make it into the RSAF, you can apply to SIA CPP even when your below the age of 26, however the company does not employ potential pilots if you are not yet 25 years old.
There will be a mixture of questions (technical/mathetical/geographical/personal). Keep your cool even if some questions you really have no answer for. No point trying to "bluff" your way through.be confident yet humble. just read up on everything.
aptitude tests i think if you read thru 99 pages from this forum, it hasn't changed much. a lot of math, reaction time etc. i saw this from this forum just posted up APST IPAS
if not you can try to google some aptitude tests to practice. all the best!
1) 1st interview 2) 2nd interview (aptitude tests/final interview/tea party) 3) medical (about 2 days after final interview, you call in the day before do find out if you made it thru to this stage) 4) medical results pass/fail -> email notification of course commencement date.
time between 1st interview/2nd can vary A LOT. time between medical/offer for course can vary A LOT as well.

Anyone care to clarify?
RipKurl, did you try out for the RSAF? Congratulations on being selected for the SQ CPP too.
I am just done with my medical last week. I heard guys who did medical a week before me are still waiting. Looks like they are looking for a lot of cadets. The online application is still open.
Anyone have any idea how to check the results of the medical.
I am 24 years and 4 mths old.. I graduated this july.. You guys think I could apply to sia and be called back for an interview? It seems their hiring alot of cadets..
1. They wanted to get as much as people, so that, those qualified and inqualified ones will stay in their record. This way, those (inqualified) attempt to reapply in future will be kicked-off immediately and permanently.
2. Everybody who apply to SIA, must read James Tan's case. [click here. Read post #558 onwards]. James wrote in to the press and complained. Because of that, SIA has no choice, but to entertain Tom-Dick-Harry, inviting them for interview.
Advertising for cadets may not be hiring alot. Don't get mistaken.
Any cases of anyone who got into the cadet pilot program after doing lasik surgery?
Yes there are. But on 2 conditions. 1. you must declare that you have done it. 2. your pre-lasik degree must still be within SIA requirement as stated in their Ad.
