Taller? wider? the cabin cross section is identical in the 737-200 to 900 /757 / 707/ 727. From a passengers point of view the cabin is the same on all of these types, only difference is the length.

As far as I am aware there are no plans to get rid of the 757 fleet any time soon, I believe they are planned in the program for at least another 5 years, probably only the newer frames. I cannot see...
