Nice idea but I wouldn't mind betting withholding a passenger's luggage isn't legal. It's not like it is explicitly, or even implicitly, held as collateral for good behaviour.

I certainly remember Jet2 operating from Leeds to La Rochelle in the past and the shared Olbia/Edinburgh. I'm certain the other French flight Leeds shared with Edinburgh was Avignon.
