Its the 12 year life that really gets me down with the Robinson, for a PPL owner that's a big cost.

TT Straps

My experience is on 480 TT straps are no better than lamiflex, first 480 we had was on lamiflex no real issues, if set up correctly both equally as good it just comes down to cost.

One of the few schools still doing type ratings...

One of the few schools still doing type ratings in the UK is Shoreham Helicopters Ltd we can complete type conversions and Skills tests, plus Proficiency checks.

I think some of the later Enstroms are much smother as Enstrom have started building better blades since the 480 has been in production.
Its far more critical with the extra weight and RRPM.

Plus the doors pop open as you near VNE to help slow you down.

If you would like to learn to fly an Enstrom 480 we do PPL (H) training at Shoreham on the south coast.

Just look for shoreham helicopters Ltd.
