I checked this picture and I don't really understand what you mean by splitting the handles before opening and to operate independently.

On 747, I would prefer if the door mode selection...

On 747, I would prefer if the door mode selection box was designed differently. There's really no place for the safety pin to go except place it with the ribbon around it somewhere under the hatch....
