Cost of deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cost was more like $1.3 billion.
It is well known that Airlines do not pay the full list price.

The repair was done by Monarch, so hardly farmed out to the cheapest bidder, it did not take them that long, until they (Monarch) had to rectify their own mistake. Your relative is not as well...

I would put LGW and MAN in the same category, both have in excess of 20 million passengers, both are ACL Level 3 co-ordinated airports.

Runway 01 at Dalaman is not a VOR/DME approach it is an ILS.
Runway 19 has a very tricky approach and there are many airlines, mine included that will not allow night landings on 19.

Every pilot who goes to work at Jet2 or any other airline is aware of not wasting fuel.

I tend not to think of fuel in Kg, as such. To me it is time aloft.
You want to hold for an hour. You need 2.5t ish for a 737.

Range is a function of fuel on board.
If you burn less fuel, you can go further.
