I doubt they will consolidate on a widebody any time soon. Unless they use a 777, then that will be a drastic cut in seat numbers.

EDI is within range for the 757, so they'll always use 757s...

Assuming they do start EDI.

My understanding was that the slots were offered up to anyone who wanted to take them on and compete with BA. In the event someone gives them up, they only return to BA if no-one else takes them up...

There may be a lot of competition, but there is still a potential market for an occasional charter...
