I'm thinking that city pairs where there is a lot of potential freight may be more likely to succeed, since, unlike PAX, freight doesn't transfer itself at Dubai or wherever. May also be less...

Thanks for all that info. Of course the start of Jet2 from BHX may have abstracted some PAX. Or it may be that the fall in the £ may eventually be feeding through into demand. We'll see.

I'm sure MAN will have access to data on where their PAX live. From my limited experience (observations at Tebay services!) I think you'll find that quite significant numbers originate in Scotland....

Remember that BACF don't just use LCY-based a/c for these services. Last year they brought 2 back from Zurich and Geneva to EDI each w/e. I'm sure they will keep a reserve a/c somewhere accessible.
