It will be used intensively for about 4 months each year, less so for another 3 and hardly at all for the winter, when they will only use the newer ones.

Are you sure? They announced one extra 738 for EDI next year, which would suggest that 3 of the six based a/c would still be 300s.

I know thousands of Brits holiday in NW France every year, but generally a) they drive and b) they stay in campsites or in gîtes. I'm not sure what you would do there without a car.

Is that correct, Callum? Next summer there will be 29 destinations from GLA and 33 from EDI. One advantage in EDI is that there is no competition from TCX.

They're hardly likely to close their Scottish bases. After all at EDI there's only one based TUI 737 which does not serve any mainland destinations in Iberia, and no TCX at all. No wonder they do so...
