I expect regulations on approved child seat but I...

I expect regulations on approved child seat but I did not hear that being raised as an issue, the stewardess could have stated:

"you need to use one of our approved seats".

I found this an appalling way to treat paying customers.
Watching the video, the family had paid for all its seats, the flight was overbooked. There was no counter offer discussed, i.e. a free hotel...
