Fly safe guys, keep up your excellent aircraft...

Fly safe guys, keep up your excellent aircraft knowledge, but hopefully you are not the only ones who do the talking at your Units. Good CREW resource management is key, Luv 8 Pieced xx

??

Not quite sure it was a nice one DB?:

No 'hopefully' about it in my experience, I could even just mention to my crew that there will be a F PUMP AFT caution appearing in the next few minutes,...

Oops forgot to answer the q

The answer to my little scenario above, to which SS didn't get full marks, was that you could be flying for up to around 18 minutes with the F PUMP AFT caution, which iaw normal procedures you have...

Is the aim of this thread to recite the FLM?

I don't think the aim of this particular thread is to recite the FLM and to tell everyone how great a pilot you are, or not as in my case 😀

Without such routines as always switching the other...

Caution question?

Ok, you have been doing a task away from base and you have calculated the exact time at which you need to leave that task in order to return to base and land at FRF 90 kgs night.

You departed the...

We can't have safety without honesty, never forget that please.

We must have a culture where people can still ask a silly question without getting stamped on, or report something 'silly' which...

I will give it a rest now, yes TC.

I logged on hear a few years back and was pretty unimpressed, these forums are sometimes disrespectful, but I suppose make people think.

If something similar to this ever happens to me,...

GNWEM and GXMII had that?

Yes I suppose GXMII and GNWEM both had that fault, so it doesn't seem impossible to me. I haven't heard of any other machine having 1 low fuel warning activate due to a single supply tank showing...

Sorry yes you are correct

Yes the Fwd and Aft cautions are there as you have correctly switched off the pumps, but the other should have been turned on during forward flight as you have the pump caution and fuel in the main...

Shed Bus Switch Practice

Good point about the shed bus switch and it being second nature......

It's activated on first flight of the day along with an autopilot test, but subsequently, it does not have to be tested for...

CAD Caution and Dispays

In the obvious scenario which I have presented before in my first post, I BELIEVE:

At the time of LOW FUEL Warnings, there would be no F PUMP FWD or AFT cautions as the transfer pumps had been...

Work arounds!!

Here we go again, already talking about work arounds to something not quite right. This one thoroughly now well understood due to the accident.

With the shed bus to emergency position, are we then...

I'm disappointed somewhat :-(

So because the pilot DISMISSED the Low Fuel Warnings, it seems as though some on this forum don't believe that the pilot deserved to have had the benefit of:

Prior knowledge of this type of...

Practical Example of Fuel Conservation, not always 203kg/hr!

I just looked back at my logbook and had a Police flight of 2:00, initial fuel of 450kgs landing at 91 kgs, 1 kg above my night FRF.

So I 'gained' to use the speak of a previous post, 47 kgs...

Fuel at Low Fuel Warning point

Don't get confused, the report states an approximate fuel at Bothwell, not the point at which the Low Fuel Warnings activated. As we know, the Low Fuel Warnings are set to operate between 26-34kgs...

I'd take 80kgs of fuel and my usual 2 Police crew any day over 2 Pilots

2 Pilots would be a poor reaction to this incident. I don't think people realise just how good these Police crews are. Spot on at Nav, understanding RT, reading checklists, practiced in emergency...

The point at which I believe the LOW FUEL Warnings were dismissed

No Conspiracy theories from me.....if you truly know this aircraft, there is only one possibility:

I simply believe that if the pilot was presented with correct fuel indications, ie lowering...

Transfer Pump System - some points

It is quite clear to me also, that some pilots may have been doing work arounds to the dry running pumps. If I start by admitting that I have left a dry running pump on for a minute or two knowing...

MORs

For those pedantic personnel on this forum, I probably should have said that I wished I had submitted a Voluntary MOR. A MOR would be any incident which endangers or which if not corrected, would...

Not all Q's answered yet?

I wrote a post the other day but then my internet crashed and I lost it all, but the effort is worth it again as I believe I must express my views:

I'm one of the many who believe, GSPAO...
