Interesting and intriguing engine. The engine appears to be slim with lower air intake which would indicate a turboprop but I do not think it is a PT6, possibly a Garrett AiResearch TPE331

Not a flying boat nor parasol wings. This aircraft was a twin-engined, low wing bomber. As you say unusual exhaust. Not sure about the cooling fan.
