If that's the case, JJ operating with KQ crew, then the shortage might actually come close to 48/50 (the current 16 shortage plus the 48 for new crafts minus the 3 767s crew shifting).

ACTUAL KQ FO SHORTAGE

All the other aircraft types have enough 1st Officer, the shortage currently is:

767s need 4 FOs
Embraer jets need 12 FOs

But considering they are increasing the size of their fleet, demand...

Kenya Airways approximates if you will have turned 28 by the time you commence training, if so you are left out. Therefore if you are 28 or almost turning 28 that might be the reason you were not...
