Why would anyone do AE or TT? Once upon a time, I considered it, but I just couldn't justify it. An ATP certificated/licensed pilot would seriously consider being a second officer?

Well, a private license/certificate will make you make you an actual pilot. That's more than most of these guys on the forum, who can tell you about jets but can't even fly a 172...

AE, TT, and Ab initio may have the same contracts, in terms of pay and benefits, but haven't the conditions for cadets been on the decline? I've seen that referenced many times...
