Thanks for that; at street level it sounded more like a pair of Wright, P&W or even Hercules engines at low power. Mind you, my ears have seen better days (no pun intended).

I was having lunch in London yesterday at a pavement cafe just off Carnaby Street around 1300. I could hear an aircraft powered by what sounded like two rumbling radial engines performing some sort...
