Drogue contact on a fuselage during trailing/winding has been a routine on many tankers. However, allowing for interested party understatement, maybe the issue here is more serious?

re Thrust reversers, Not just "one slippery day"...every day!:oh: For a start, idle reverse reduces the need for wheel braking to almost nothing on a limiting LDR x 1.5 (or better) runway...

Thanks for that info. Interesting, the last tanker / receiver full scale ground testing trial I saw was just with F34.:ok:
By the way, is it TD1, TD2 or TD3?

Chemical in a fuel system test? The only things I can imagine we are talking of here are, blending anti-icing, lubricity or anti-fungal agent. Or, could it be a trace marker, to prove the source...
