Didnt realise jet 2 aircraft had APU,s fitted judging by the number of times ive seen air start trucks hooked up to them on stand....
Thought maybe it was some kind of weight reduction exercise.

Really ..So the aircraft was not in a very poor state and monarch who have been maintaining the 757 since the early 1980,s and are the company who Jet 2 had to turn to when the CAA almost grounded...

AFAIK both airlines employ UK CAA licensed engineers to maintain their fleets who are by all accounts very well thought of around the world, so cannot see walters point TBH
