You could overtorque it, Just like you could...

You could overtorque it, Just like you could overtorque anyhting if you pull the collective up in to your arm pit. I've never flown a C-18 but I imagine you'd overtemp it quite easily on hot or days...

Collecteve mounted Manual Release lever for MD 500?

Anyone ever seen a 500 with a manual hook release mounted on the collective? It was a mod for older float systems.

If you have, I would appriciate pictures or would offer to buy the unit.

Please state the FAA reg that prohibits walkign away from the aircraft. I dont know of any.

I believe some of those are guys flooring it in...

I believe some of those are guys flooring it in flight during descent and the lock engaging on accident.
