You'd have to imagine if someone were invited for a Class 1 Medical they are probably going to get an offer if they pass it. I don't see any logic in getting candidates to take the medical otherwise?...

It seems a bit silly that someone who already has an fATPL would get so far in such a process. To the best of my knowledge, even if the airline wanted to - the fATPL pilot wouldn't be legally allowed...
