I remember the lowering of the Australian flag and raising of the PNG one at independence, at the Arawa sports ground. What great hopes we all had.

Poteroo, did you know Nick Crawley? Knew him when he was didiman for BCL in mid '70s. His name came up in conversation a couple of weeks ago, believe he's still in contact with some ex-BCL people.
