Jes - I'm impressed with your estimate of pax in October

Manston-Amsterdam had 4,343 passengers in Oct 2013, so 35 pax per flight or a load factor of 43.8%

Amsterdam route had 3,731 passengers in June, which comes to a 38.9 % load factor.
Previous load factors - May was 40.7 % and April was 34 %

Takes over 90 mins to drive from Thanet to Gatwick or City and the train isn't exactly brilliant. Was going to suggest it might be like Humberside, but Manston doesn't have any hydrocarbons offshore.
