Southend used to be busy with Stapleford trainees...

Southend used to be busy with Stapleford trainees but that has declined over the past few years.

Don't know whether that's due to SEN under Stobart or perhaps Stapleford not so busy lately?

I can't remember exactly when the sign outside was changed to read London Southend but it was long before Stobart appeared on the scene.

Possibly late 80s.

It's effectively the only access road to SEN (unless you count the A13) and it is always a trial.
