I believe any such action would be taken by EASA...

I believe any such action would be taken by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) as the responsible organisation, although CAA(UK) may still have some local powers to deal with local situations.

Chinook did not have UK Type Certification removed as a result of the Sumburgh accident - the particular dash of front main rotor gearbox that caused the accident (-6 if I remember) was...
