With only 100 hours on the A320 as reported previously then he would still be under line training. Perhaps his progress wasn't up to standard or that the authority gradient with his TRI was too steep...

I don't know how accurate this data is or where they got it from, but if the data is indeed correct, then wouldn't the decrease in rate of descent at the lower altitudes suggest an effort to recover...

They're are designed to be donned with the one hand and it barely takes two seconds to put on if you're not wearing sun glasses. Removal of sunglasses first may add an extra second.
