Goodbye Chrome

Talking of browser troubles - suddenly yesterday Chrome crashed, and persistently. ("Chrome has encountered a problem and will have to close".)

I have no new h/ware or s/ware and no updates...

Not difficult:

1) download chrome
2) "make this my preferred browser"
3) if it works you've located the problem
4) if it doesn't,...
