Clearly you do not fly either the B777 or B777. There is no pitch/power couple and the autothrottle system handles the power extremely well and, in gusty conditons especially, arguably far better...

The standard Boeing B777 conversion course does not (officially) cover a rejected landing (as in after touchdown) scenario.

I am sure it will be in the near future.

What is complicated about pushing the thrust levers fully forward irrespective of any automation. I cannot recall an aircraft where pushing the thrust levers forward didn't give an increase in power.

Incorrect. It is part of the syllabus I teach for both B787 and B777 where we demonstrate that it is the one of the two situations where the Autothrottle system will not 'wake up'.
