Coventry Airport

Hi everyone
Been overseas for a few months, nice to see the airport is close to opening again, but still no clue as to who might fly there???
will it ba an airport, aerodrome, airfield?

Just thought i would pop back into this thread, pleased talks are ongoing to get airport legally operational.
Just one small point, when it was operational before nobody flew there?

Just heard COV is about to become a Shakespeare theme park with part of it given over to car boot sales on Sundays, well its a new Rumour!!

I think he was an ATC chappie, met him in a bar years ago near Coventry.

Of course i realise the cost differential in private flying from COV as opposed to BHX.
However it is a sad fact of life that an International Airport cannot survive on club flying revenue only,...

At least Brighton does not pretend to have a real airport and realises they have Gatwick pretty close!
Ever heard of Birmingham airport? i think its quite close to Coventry?

Where is Coventry anyway?
If no one wants to fly there (Which seems to be the position given the recent situation) why have an airport?
