Off topic, I know, but it's interesting to note that of the "classic" British 1960's/1970's jets (VC10, Trident, 1-11) it was only the latter which secured US orders, as did the (later) BAe 146...

The VC10 was the first aircraft I flew in, in 1966, and for that reason it has remained special. It is also very beautiful and appealing to look at. And the sound of the Conways....
