Not sure what an IAG long haul base to be set up in Barcelona has to do with Manchester or any other UK airport ??

Perhaps I misread the article and UK bases are included somewhere in it ?

BA managed to park up dozens of planes over by the maintenance area few years back when it was weather closed.

Yet it cant find room for 2 B789s for 2 days !!

BA said today they were in favour of the 3rd runway as long as there is a cap on charges. State they are against paying any extra to use it.

The only advantage a 787 has over the A330 or 77W is speed. Its marginal but I think about 40mph faster.

We flew a TOM one to Orlando Sandford last summer and we slowly drifted past a Delta A330...
