Maybe in the UK they are but USAAF pilots I know...

Maybe in the UK they are but USAAF pilots I know who who spent most of their time in the Pacific called their Lightnings P38s and their associates called their Mustangs P51s.

IIRC my father talking about it in the late...

IIRC my father talking about it in the late forties the first thing that was done was that the main spars were sawn through so as to ensure they did not end up in Israel.
