Airlines that have left STN

Besides the others already posted. CSA pulled out back in October. BRS keep using STN bassed easyjet planes because they dont have enough.

Eastern to MAN

Eastern Airways will pick up the MAN route when AB stop the route at the end of October. The airline plans to run three flights a day during the working week.

AA to go into sat 2

Not sure how true this but have been told that AA are going to get gate 37 (C44) in sat 2 for their daily flight. Plus they are going to put a lounge in at that end of sat 2.

Interesting diverts today

XLA 767 in from HER going to LGW and Oasis Hong Kong 747-400. Was told the hold at LGW was long due to poor vis on the deck. Off loading those flights made for a nice scrum in baggage reclaim.

AA front of house up for tender

Does anyone know about the AA front of house going up for tender. The Circusair grape vine is in over drive that AA have gone and put their pax handling contract up for tender.

AA will have there own check-in staff

Had a little look around the net and AA are advertising for there own check-in staff at STN. So looks like there may only be a battle for the ramp contract.

AA to Swissport prob

This will be a good one to watch. Because AA and Turkish Airlines are linked pax can use the frequent flyer cards for either airline on any AA and TK service, plus they both use Troya for check-in...

The North Amercian 757 is a charter for a music tour of London.
MIA-JFK-STN and back.

Reason for TK move

Aviance where 20% cheaper than S/air. S/air may have lost TK but we gain Wizz Air and XL.

I did wonder when this day would come. Ever since TK's own system came in. Things have been pain full at check-in. Plus the airlines delayed aircraft inbound have not helped matters.

TOM are being replaced by XL, they are looking for STN cabin crew at the mo. XL are having two 737's at STN to take over from some of TOM's routes.

That will give Swissport and Avaince something to fight over. Air Italy are being handled by Avanice. No one knows who will handle Wizz yet but it could be Aviance again.

Umm I think the airline would not be wise to move from STN, but as the rep said to me over the weekend the move is still in the early stages it may not even happen. Its up to Iceland Express.
