Yes, that is definitely a maintenance flight. Very common at Prestwick following a big maintenance check in the Ryanair hangars there.

Ryanair can easily sustain flights from both airports.

Business / city routes from GLA and bucket and spade from PIK. People will still travel to PIK if it is for a week's holiday.

Pax numbers at pik will probably be up this year on last year i would expect. Albeit slightly after the icelandic volcano.

Having said that, I will be very disappointed if the route is canned....

I've often thought that a turboprop airline could perhaps move in on some of the PIK routes that ryanair have closed. 40-50 pax on a 737 is no good but on an ATR, you're laughing!
