Personally I'd avoid cheap second hand helmets, but if money is an issue I guess something is better than nothing.

It's hard to put a price on the value of your own head!

How about a real carbon fibre rigid cover with a soft lining, rather than a mock carbon cover which can flex and scratch the visors?

Surely it wouldn't be the hardest thing to design:ugh:

I looked at Gallet too but wasn't impressed. Not terribly comfortable and quite noisy compared to the others....
