as I recall the rest of the course used to gather to watch as well, especially those nervous co-pilots whose turn it was next. As you say the Hercules was a less demanding a/c to land....

the Beverley's cargo compartment was higher than that of the C130K at 10 feet. The C130's was just over nine feet with lots of kit in the 'hog trough' being a limiting factor....
