One option to stay airside with checked baggage might be to use BA Loganair of the rock via EDI or GLA then onwards to LHR or LGW. I think you can check your baggage...

Staying Airside whilst in the UK

The UK are changing the tax rules from 5th April 2008.

More than 90 days in the UK, now including day of arrival and departure, will make Manx travellers resident in the UK for tax purposes.
