Ah the age old is section 3A mandatory for an SEP class VFR only.

Done in the UK then the CAA want it done however this need not be onerous. A simple get me back to the airfield from here will...

The requirements are laid out in the AMC 1 FCL.740 (b)(1).

It's a Prof check not skills test unless the rating is not on the licence anymore.
