doubt it would be Swiss. Helvetic maybe? Very much doubt that TUI would introduce a charter. LM could do it with a 145 but whether they’d want to is another thing.

its not necessarily about competing with BRS or BHX but if the cost of the flights to say PMI is £300 from CWL but only £100 from BRS people will fly from there.

CWL is a very price sensitive market. They’d have to seriously look at their fare structure as most will travel to BRS / BHX if the fares are cheaper...

just had a quick check of the stats and it’s a 63% growth over 2018. Just over 90,000 travelled with QR in 2019 v just over 55,500 in 2018.

yeah not great numbers but it was Ramadan during this time so could have lead to reduced demand. Numbers did shoot up for the summer last year though so would be interesting to see what the figures...

No details of flights at mo and nothing being able to book but looks like BE are updating flights for Cardiff. Booking engine has preloaded dates into ‘20 which weren’t there before. Fingers crossed...

still an increase of 7.7% the qatar figures would have helped that. Massive drops on some BE routes to Germany and Italy though.

I may be wrong but isn’t there an ICAO rule that you can’t tax aviation or something? It maybe that you can’t add VAT or tax jet fuel. I’m sure I read that’s why it’s called a duty rather than tax.
